Scenario

When visionary architect Laszlo Toth and his wife Erzebet flee post-war Europe in 1947 to reclaim their heritage and witness the birth of modern America, their lives are forever changed by a mysterious wealthy client. Filming spanned a total of 34 days, from March 16 to May 5, 2023.

Harrison Lee Van Buren Sr.: When dogs get sick, they often bite their handlers’ hands until someone mercifully puts them to sleep. This ambitious post-war American epic opens with a mesmerizing long wall that will surely be remembered for longer than the film’s 3:35 mark.

Blumberg’s music complements this, so the theater would definitely be its ideal habitat

The 70mm format matches the setting, making the film visually stunning, along with bold cinematography and stunning photography. The script introduces interesting characters – although the secondary ones are purely cosmetic – who are supported by excellent performances from Brody and Pierce.

The problem here lies in the ending, as the writers decided to insert unexplored subplots that would not allow the film to have a proper conclusion, leaving a bitter feeling of incompleteness and preventing this monumental project from achieving what it intended.
